Adminpldt not working
There were a lot of reports about adminpldt s not working, that it is not accessible anymore. In fact, on my previous post, 7 PLDT default usernames and password,s many commenters are raising questions about adminpldt not working anymore. Some said that PLDT itself has blocked the access due to security glitch. Although, PLDT has not issued a public statement on that matter yet. So, it remains a speculation.

As a computer administrator/technician, one of my clients experienced the same issue. At first, I can access his PLDT router via adminpldt or superuser account, but just recently it is no longer available. So, I did some troubleshooting.
Forgot the adminpldt password? I thought that I just forgot the password, so I hard reset the PLDT modem/router but to no avail. Still, adminpldt is not accessible. I can only access the user level through admin and 1234 user account which has only 3 tabs (Status, Wlan and Firewall) or basic settings.

Is the modem/router defective? Since adminpldt is not working, even after router hard reset. The first thing that comes into my mind is maybe the router is having an issue. So, I called 171.
The tech representative is not giving me a satisfactory; answer; instead, he kept on asking questions. Why should I bother to use adminpldt? What I am going to do with it? — and so on. Politely, I explained to him that my client needs to access the advance settings of the router. I also asked him if PLDT did block the access of adminpldt which he answered “NO”. Then he gave me a report number.
On the next day, I decided to visit the nearest PLDT office. I believe that they can help me better than Phone tech representative. However, the staff told me to call 171 again. I also asked her if PLDT blocked the root access of the router? I received the same answer, which is a big “NO”. She added that my client’s issue on adminpldt occurs because of a defective modem/router.
Now, I concluded that the problem might be the router. Why? Because in my home, I can still access the adminpldt GUI without any issue. So, I told my client if it is okay for him to request a modem replacement or we will call 171 for any possible solution. He told me that, he is planning to buy a router for better control of his network. To cut the story short, we didn’t call 171 again and just bought a new router. The adminpldt not working is still unsolved.

The Solution
Did PLDT block the admin access? Recently, while in the middle of the game, my internet connection fluctuates, for about 15 minutes. But resumes thereafter without my WiFi connection. So, I opened a browser to access my PLDT router to check what happened to my WiFi connection. Guess what?
I can’t access my router anymore with any username or password. Adminpldt is not working, and the admin:1234 are also not working. I called 171 about the issue, and they told me that it is because of the remote firmware update. This time the tech support is excellent; he is answering my questions diligently. I asked him, how true is that PLDT is blocking the access of adminpldt?
He answered me that, on PLDT Fibr by default, it is now inaccessible. On PLDT Home DSL, adminpldt is still allowed. So, I hard reset my router to see if it will solve the Wlan issue and adminpldt as well. Voila! after the reset, the Wlan came back except that my router can only be accessed with admin: 1234. Adminpldt is gone.
I called 171 again, this time the representative is a lady, she gave me a report number. She added that my issue will be resolved but it needs an onsite visit which I agreed.
The solution is that you need to call 171 and request for adminpldt access. PLDT change the default access, instead of just the I.P address, “192.168.1.1” they added extra line. It will look like this (not the actual URL) 192.168.1.1/admintrial.html but I will not divulge it in this post for your router’s security purposes. The password was also changed before it’s all letters “adminpldt” but now it’s alphanumeric of 20 more characters long.
So, you need to keep your patience, it will take days or even weeks before your request will be granted. Aside from that keep your cool also to PLDT tech support, they will be asking you questions sometimes unrelated and they will answer you out of bounds. But relax, breath deeply and politely (keep in mind that call cent agents are not technical person some of them rely only on their screen manual), just tell them you need the adminpldt access, to set mac filtering, traffic shaping and others.
The tech support told me that adminpldt is still accessible to subscribers that requested access to it. However, as of this writing, this only applies to DSL users because the fiber system is not yet stable. I will keep you posted once I can access my fibr adminpldt.
Important note: Ask the PLDT technician to hand you over the new password and username, the password must be alphanumeric. So that, in case you need to reset your router, you can still access your router without calling them again.
FYI: The router is technically owned by the subscribers, we paid for it. We have the right to access it in full.
Update: Due to many requests about adminpldt problem I decided to hand you over the new default URL and password of adminpldt. For baudtec routers: URL (192.168.1.1/super.htm) pass: qVuUKLmCJJhCF4YY3x9xqJy. For Prolink routers: URL: 192.168.1.1/pldtadmincel.htm pass: 7a6097e438d32f84964abbc.
Conclusion:
There might be a reason or reasons why PLDT is doing this change. Perhaps, for security reason, given the URL and alphanumeric changed. However, as a customer and owner of the router, PLDT should inform their subscribers for any changes. I believe, they are obliged to do so. On the other hand, we, subscriber, especially, to those advance users, must remember, “great power comes with great responsibility”. Let us not abuse or do something unacceptable to the router, be fair and know your limits.

I don’t have access sa Zyxel routers, as what I understand this is a DSLBiz. Kindly, call the hotline, if not, you may visit the nearest PLDT office. I am not sure if they will ask you to sign a waiver to regain the full access.

Am wondering if you have the adminpldt link and password for a ZyXEL VMG3926-B10B router? I also am no longer able to access adminpldt just a few hours ago and this is a MyDSLBiz account. Efforts to call 177 is futile as I am being directed to the website or the business office. Monday, Aug 27 is a holiday so I have to wait until Tuesday.
Unfortunately, I already made a reset and the default adminpldt is not working as well so I can no longer reset the adminpldt password. I can not restore the router backup config as I need adminpldt access to do that.
I am currently using mobile data for temporary internet access researching this issue.

Hello Ariel, about your “adminpldt” issue you need to call 177 or 171, tell them that you need the adminpldt access. I don’t know if the DSL users are now also subject to sign the PLDT waiver in order to access the full admin. But the basic admin rights, (admin & 1234) you are supposed to access that. I am not familiar with Zyxel router, but as a customer we have the right to access the basic settings even the advance.
By the way, if you did a reset on your router, you may check the bottom of your router to see the default password and username. You can call the tech support, tell them that even the basic settings you cannot access and you can’t use the internet that you are paying.

I would advise you to go to nearest PLDT office in your area. Please read the waiver carefully before signing. And ask all the questions that you would want to know about the waiver.
