How to access PLDT RP2649/RP2740/RP2804 FULL ADMIN?

Hi everyone, it is another bad day for us, PLDT subscribers. Why? Because PLDT updated their Fiberhome modem-router firmware version once again. Yes, as expected, it’s not for our good, but rather, it’s another restriction update.

Now, it’s a bit more tricky to access our adminpldt accounts for software versions RP2649, RP2740, and RP2804. But don’t be anxious. I am here to help you. Okay, without further ado, let’s get started.

Access PLDT RP2649/RP2740/RP2804/RP2811 | Method 1

This method is for those who know your adminpldt password. Maybe you set it yourself using my guide on How to change your PLDT admin password. In most cases, you are using your very own personalized password. The first thing you should do is:

➊ Turn off your PLDT modem router by pressing the power button.

➋ Remove the FOC (Fiber Optic Cable), gently touch the fiber optic SC connector, and slowly pull it down until it is removed entirely from the IOO (Inner Optical Outlet). See the image above. Why remove it? If you don’t, you will get the “admin account unavailable” error.

💡 Quick Tip: Always remove the FOC before turning on the PLDT modem-router.

➌ Now, let’s turn on the PLDT modem-router and see that the LOS led light is blinking red.

➍ On your phone or PC, open a web browser (chrome, firefox, opera, etc.).

➎ In the web address bar, type 192.168.1.1/fh or https://192.168.1.1/fh. You must see the same login page in the image below. It must be Administrator, not Username. If it’s still a Username, retype the 192.168.1.1/fh until you see the Administrator.

💡 Quick Tip: If 192.168.1.1/fh returns Username instead of Administrator, no matter how you tried. Use different browsers or different devices. I recommend using a PC or Laptop.

➏ Now, input adminpldt in the Administrator and your personalized password. If this is your first time accessing the full admin, please get the RP2649, RP2740, and RP2804 PLDT default username and password. Input in the login page accordingly, and click login. That’s it! You must be inside the adminpldt account by now.

Method 2

This method applies to those who forgot their password or can’t access their adminpldt account. The first step is to:

➊ Reset your PLDT Fiberhome modem-router using this guide: How to reset PLDT Home Fibr ONU router. After the successful reset, hard or soft, your router will reboot.

➋ Turn off your modem-router.

➌ Carefully remove the FOC (Fiber Optic Cable) from the IOO (Inner Optical Outlet), as shown in the image below. Hold the SC connector, not the cable, while gently pulling it down until it’s removed completely.

💡 Quick Tip: It is safe to remove the FOC just make sure not to bend the cable.

➍ Check your modem-router, it should be blinking red LOS.

➎ On your PC or phone open a web browser (chrome, opera, firefox), in the web address bar input 192.168.1.1/fh and hit enter. A web login page will load. You must see an Administrator and Password. If you see Username and Password, retype the 192.168.1.1/fh.

💡 Quick Tip: If 192.168.1.1/fh returns Username instead of Administrator, no matter how you tried. Use different browsers or different devices. I recommend using a PC or Laptop.

➏ On the login page, type adminpldt in the administrator and the default adminpldt password. Then click login, since “enter” doesn’t work anymore.

➐ You will be prompted to change your adminpldt password, WiFi name/SSID, and WiFi password on the initial login page. Read the instructions carefully, and fill them out accordingly.

➑ After successfully changing your passwords and SSIDs, retype the 192.168.1.1/fh. Now input adminpldt in the administrator, and your newly changed adminpldt password and click login.

Congratulations😉! You just accessed PLDT RP2649/RP2740/RP2804 FULL ADMIN ACCOUNT.
