We’ve tested Kaspersky Antivirus 2016 on five various categories using synthetic viruses, malware, phishing sites, actual keylogger and we also checked, how much system resources is being used while running the antivirus.
Against Viruses
It performs very well. So far, with all the antivirus that we tested, it got the highest detection rate. Well, it was able to detect 11 out of 12 against synthetic viruses that we tested.
Malware Blocking
The result is not as good as against viruses but it is an average malware blocking rate. It blocked 7 out of 10 malware that we tested. Personally, I am not satisfied with 70% malware detection rate but the percentage may improve against real malware.

This is the most important test that we look into because cyber criminals used this method to fool their victims. Kaspersky Antivirus 2016 was able to blocked 8 out of 10 Phishing sites. It’s one of the best Phishing protection that an antivirus can give.
Keylogger detection
Kaspersky Antivirus 2016 detects keylogger installation. Then gives user the option to delete or allow the keylogger. Why can’t just Kaspersky Antivirus 2016 remove or delete it automatically? To give user’s freedom to install any application that he needs or wants. After all, keyloggers are not totally bad, it’s how you are going to use it. However, automatic deletion can be done by unchecking “Do not delete probably infected objects”.
The only downside that Kaspersky Antivirus 2016 might have is its inability to detect already installed Keylogger.
