Troubleshoot Sun Broadband

TROUBLESHOOT  3G SUN BROADBAND in easy ways.

Troubleshooting Sun Broadband is essential because as what I have said in my previous posts ( How to Boost Sun Broadband and Why I choose Sun Broadband) it is not perfect. In some way or another like other devices, it may encounter trouble. However, to troubleshoot Sun Broadband isn’t complex. In fact anyone can do it.

Hello RJ, if I’m a Sun salesman I will say, yes you need a new device for better connection. However, it’s not always the case. If your problem is the signal, you need to place your pocket WiFi somewhere, higher. Buying a new device may help boost your signal but not your Internet connection because of download capping.

Hello Jonathan, try to ask their hotline or at the nearest Sun broadband office in your area.

Im using the Sun Pocket WIFI Plan 699. On the onset its quite tolerable that the connection is on-off-on-off yet still unstable. Now, after about 2 weeks of using it, the signal has been going red for straight 12 hrs now. NOT A SIGNAL MINUTE THAT IT WORKED. As I can remember, This Plan has UNLI usage of FB, IG, google, etc. WHY ON EARTH MY PERSONAL SUN SIMCARD IS OKAY WITH THE SIGNAL YET MY POCKET WIFI IS TOTALLY RED/POOR and WORST NO SIGNAL AT ALL?

Hi Iris, your Sim card and pocket WiFi is two different things. It doesn’t mean that because your Sim signal is fine so as your pocket WiFi. Honestly, we can do nothing about that. You need to consult the nearest Sun Cellular Office and ask them. Usually, before you subscribe to them, they will ask you from what city or municipality you are. To determine if they have a good signal on that area, if not, you are advised not to get the plan. Personally, in the Philippines, I don’t use pocket WiFi unless I have no choice. From experience, pocket WiFi only works within a city but still very slow.

Hi sir, the problem I’m experiencing with my device is that, the computer can’t seem to detect the device at all. When I look at the device, it just keeps on blinking blue light quickly. I looked at the guide and it says it is out of order. Is there any way to repair it? I just wasted 100 peso by buying a new SBW Sim and a 50 Peso.

Hello Anonymwa, I want to be honest, there is nothing we can do about your device. The only solution is to buy new one. However, I would suggest that instead of buying a new broadband stick , get a DSL line. Unless you are always on-the-move.

Hi Randy, I would suggest that you go to Sun Cellular’s office, tell them about the issue you encountered. It seems your problem is about the sun broadband signal, your area may have poor Sun signal.

Hello sir, I have a sun pocket wifi for almost 2years now. I have that 699 plan. the one with 1-2mbps unlimited data. for the first, idk, year the speed was good, when it turns 11/12pm – 8am(maybe) the speed is outstandingly fast. There was a time it went up to 4mbps(for just a small period of time). But now, I only experience 1-2mbps of speed when its 4am then revert to its average speed when its after 10am or so which is 100-300kbps. I don’t know what happened, we always pay regularly. Is there any way to troubleshoot this?

Hello Matt, after the Smart acquired Sun Broadband maybe late last year the speed became terribly slow. It’s because they implemented a download data capping. The 699 plan, I guess is having a 1.5G per month download data limit, after that your internet speed will throttle down to 2G speed.
