How to remove viruses inside your Flash Drive

August 6, 2009 Updated by: I.C Tiempo 4 Comments

I know nobody will argue that Flashdrive is one of the most important things in the world today. Not just for someone like me, who is an I.T. But to all students, professionals, ordinary people and businesses. It’s a great help, personally I cannot live without it. However, it has weaknesses too, viruses can exploit it, from being useful to useless. In my experience virus cannot break USB but its contents. Some virus will turn your files unusable as well as folders. Antivirus may be enough to remove it, but it’s not 100% guaranteed. For me, it is vital to know the signs of virus infected USB, the earlier the better, to easily eliminate it even without antivirus. Yes! Even without Antivirus, as long as it is not acute yet. It is more on preemptive than removal, preventing the virus from staying inside your USB or making it their home that would eventually lead to messing up your important data.

How? First know the 7 signs of virus infected USB. If you knew it already you can skip, instead focus on the following steps:

    • Download the Trojorm Removal Tool v1.5 (it’s FREE), don’t worry this is clean. I guarantee you that, in fact, I’ve been using this for more than a year, both for myself and for my clients. By the way I would like to give credit to the man behind this tool. He is Archie Mercader from Cebu City, Philippines. I don’t really know this man personally but as I saw his work and tried it myself, I am impressed.
    • After you downloaded it, just simply place it inside your USB especially if you are experiencing the 7 signs of virus infected USB. < Double click it><ENTER><wait while it scans><Press OK, then ENTER><finally restart your PC> that’s it, very easy hah! The 7 signs of virus infected USB must be gone after executing the instructions above.

The good thing about this tool aside from being free, it is also able to heal your hardisk by following the same procedure above except that you situate it, of course, in your “hardisk drive letter” (eg. C or D and so on and so forth).
